lizzy flanagan is an artist, entrepreneur and texture junkie. she launched pieces of a girl in 2002 after eight months of strategic planning and a lifetime of daydreaming about a career made from her own creativity.
lizzy's work is simple but detailed, and supremely wearable. she incorporates patterns from antique woodblocks, vintage fabrics and retro wallpapers into her pendants making them textural, beautiful, and just a pinch historical. her collections are sold in darling boutiques, galleries, and fine jewelry stores nationwide (click here to see a list of our lovely retail partners).
lizzy takes the “green” thing seriously and recycles all scrap produced by the pieces of a girl line for future designs. her finishing and plating processes are also kind and gentle to the environment.
lizzy is a proud graduate of emerson college in boston, but considers the time she spent traveling abroad the richest part of her education.
some of lizzy’s favorite things are the color green, learning to sail, mexican folk art, beach hair, hound dogs, holga photography, palomino ponies, indian henna patterns, cowboy boots, trying new recipes, pema chodron, being in love, and practicing yoga. lizzy considers herself a congenital optimist and thinks that the bright side is THE place to be.
